Dependent Company “Elektrokrajina” stk. comp. Banja Luka works as integral part of MH “Elektroprivreda Republike Srpske” (MH-ERS), and its duty is to supply economy and population with electric energy continuously and qualitatively on its cooperation that covers western part of Republic of Srpska. Dependent Company “Elektrokrajina” stk. comp. is one of five electric-distributive companies that are working as parts of ERS. The other ones are: “Elektro Doboj” Doboj, “Elektrohercegovina” Trebinje, “Elektro Bijeljina” Bijeljina and “Elektrodistribucija” Pale. According to its cooperation and business results, “Elektrokrajina” stk. comp. is the biggest electric-distributive company in the frame of ERS.
Besides distributive companies, there are five production companies in the ERS’s system: “Hidroelektrane na Trebišnjici” (“Hydro power plants on Trebišnjica”), “Hidroelektrane na Drini” (“Hydro power plants on Drina”), “Hidroelektrane na Vrbasu” (“Hydro power plants on Vrbas”), “Rudnik i Termoelektrana Gacko” (“Mine and Thermal power plant Gacko”), “Rudnik i Termoelektrana Ugljevik (“Mine and Thermal power plant Ugljevik”). Today, about 7000 employees work in ERS.
